The evidence of a performance, bringing a load to a certain altitude, as an offering, as a tribute, as a gift to a foreign place: A pile of cactus in the middle of a lake, left there to be merged with the landscape, to decompose and became one with this new land. This cactus is a symbol of Mexican culture, a metaphor of Mexicanity (if such a word exists). The spikes of the cactus works as mortar between bricks, only by harming each other is that they stay together, a rope tights the cactus together an increases the strength of this union. A pillar is built by compression and friction.
